It is time again for our annual Track and Field Day! It will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 with a Rain date of Thursday, June 3, 2010.
9:15 - 11:45: Students will participate in events.
11:45 - 12:50: Students eat lunch in their classrooms and watch a "G" rated
movie. Parents will be supervising the children during lunch.
Students may pack their lunch or purchase a bag lunch from the cafeteria for $1.50.
If students pack their own lunch they will need to bring their own drink.
12:50 - 2:55 Students will participate in events.
3:00 - 3:25 Students will return to the classroom.
Your child will need:
„Ï To bring a water bottle.
„Ï To wear sunscreen to school because we will be outside all day
„Ï Visors will be provided by the PTA
„Ï To wear appropriate lightweight clothes and tennis shoes with socks. No sandals.
Our theme this year is ¡§Tropical Island Games,¡¨ so we are asking all children to wear their favorite brightly colored ¡§Hawaiian¡¨ clothes.
All activities will take place on the elementary playground, field or in the all-purpose room. We can always use parent volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Jami Tinney at jrtinney@comcast.net.
Please note that two of the events involve water. Your child could get wet during these events. If your child is not permitted to get wet, please notify the office in writing. If you have any questions, please call the office at 221-4542, extension 331 or 332.
